I doubt anything I say would make you see JWs in any different light.
When Jesus preached, it was mostly to the less advantaged. He taught mostly to large crowds who gather just to hear him. Today, the same preaching must be done door to door or any avenue where people can be reached. Who knows in door to door if you'll talk to rich or poor? All houses are visited.
If I was poor and had no hope of getting my next meal anytime soon --- I'd rather be visited by a JW because I know they would not leave anyone stranded. But it still boils down to --- the preaching work is primary, as it is meant to be in religion.

Jesus was on earth to preach and as his faithful followers, Jehovah's Witnesses put preaching foremost in their lives. It would be unchristian to do otherwise.

It seems that if a person was df'ed against their will, they may hold on to JW views and feel they should preach. After all, they are no longer witnesses but could feel they were not treated fairly. If they had their way they'd still be in, in good standing.
Some find it too difficult to face the elders because of pride. By what I've seen on this site though, it would appear most are happy with their new lot in life. Really, preaching does not have to be forcing your beliefs on someone. Showing scriptural basis for your belief and letting a person decide for themselves is the Christian way.

The quots you site by JWs about SA is not criticism. They simply state the facts. SA does mostly feed the poor physically ( by their own admission) Nothing wrong with that unless you profess to be a religion.
Feel free to maintain one can feed body and soul -- we can agree to disagree.
It can be considered Christian to fill anyones needs outside the congragation -- but the priority of a Christian is to fulfill spiritual needs.
There have always been true Christians on earth since Jesus' time.
